Community Partner: Buffalo Soldiers

North Charleston Buffalo Soldier, Marcilia Merriweather "Slim Shadie" presents a check to support reopening expenses at Beyond Our Walls.

During the November 21, 2015 BOWs Board Meeting at Dorchester Regional Library, our Community Partner "Buffalo Soldiers" presented a check to fund the opening of the "BOWs Education Celebration Room." This room will be used to celebrate the accomplishments of children in our community.

The funds provided additional technology for viewing educational programs and video games. This room will also host Family Fun Nights and events all during the year. We are so thankful to the support from our incredible Community Partner!

Thank you, Buffalo Soldier, Arthur Stoney "Shadow," for making sure the children and adults are safe while entering our building by installing railing along the walk way up to the front door. Thanks for coordinating and paying the expenses for this wonderful contribution to BOWs.
